Pharmacy Tech
Assists with pharmacy inventory, filling cassettes, delivering medications and supplies, preparing IV admixtures, and clerical duties. Requires a high school diploma and 6 months of pharmacy tech experience; PTCB certification preferred.
Assists the Director of Pharmacy and Staff Pharmacists in daily operations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist with management of inventory, i.e., stocking, receiving.
- Accurately fill patient cassettes from cart fill list.
- Pick up physicians orders and deliver medications and supplies on a routine basis.
- Prepare IV admixture according to departmental policy and procedure.
- Enter patient charges and credit into hospital data system on a daily basis.
- Perform monthly inspections for all areas of the hospital where medications are stored.
- Assist in the development of pharmacy goals and participate in reaching these goals.
- Regularly check pharmacy stock for outdates.
- Assist in the dispensing of employee prescriptions and OTC’s.
- Assume general clerical duties.
- Performs any other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
EXPERIENCE
- 6 months Pharmacy Tech experience required, certification by PTCB preferred

- High School Graduate
