Summary:
Under the general supervision of the Chief Respiratory Therapist, the Registered Respiratory Therapist is responsible for the operation and supervision of Respiratory Therapy in assigned areas of Westchester Medical Center. In addition, the incumbent of this position assists in providing instruction in respiratory techniques to hospital staff and students. Supervision is exercised over a number of respiratory therapists, technicians and students.
Licenses/Certifications:
Possession of a valid license and current registration issued by the New York State Education Department as a Respiratory Therapist.
Special Requirements:
Possession of registration as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), issued by the National Board for Respiratory Care.
