About the Role:
The Learning Experience #444 in Fredericksburg, VA is looking for a passionate and driven Assistant Director to join our team! Responsibilities:
- Support the Center Director in daily operations of the childcare facility
- Supervise, mentor, and coach classroom teachers and support staff
- Ensure compliance with state licensing regulations and company policies
- Assist with enrollment, family communication, and parent engagement initiatives
- Maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating learning environment for all children
- Step in to lead the center in the Director's absence
- Support curriculum implementation and monitor classroom quality standards
Requirements:
- Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field preferred
- 2+ years of experience in a childcare or early education setting
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience strongly preferred
- Knowledge of Virginia childcare licensing regulations is a plus
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Warm, professional demeanor with a passion for child development
