Position Overview
We are seeking a Sample & Merchandising Manager to support showroom and sample operations in a fast-paced wholesale environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in apparel, visual merchandising, showroom operations, retail, or wholesale and a strong eye for product presentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain apparel samples, showroom inventory, racks, and displays.
- Receive, unpack, sort, steam, hang, fold, and prepare garments for presentations.
- Maintain showroom displays and dress mannequins according to merchandising direction and assortment plans.
- Track samples, identify missing or misplaced items, and ensure samples are returned to the correct locations.
- Pack and ship samples to Sales team members and customer accounts.
- Reset racks and tabletops after account meetings and maintain showroom standards throughout the selling season.
- Support Sales and Product teams with sample and merchandising requests.
- Prioritize multiple requests, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing business needs.
- Proactively identify showroom organization and merchandising needs.
- Use Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and general computer systems as needed.
Qualifications
- Experience in apparel, visual merchandising, sample coordination, showroom operations, retail, or wholesale preferred.
- Apparel experience strongly preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Good eye for visual merchandising and product presentation.
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Professional demeanor appropriate for a customer-facing wholesale showroom.
- Ability to lift and move up to 30 lbs., move rolling racks, steam garments, dress mannequins, and stand/walk for extended periods.
