Req # 2437: Software Asset Management Analyst

# of positions: 1

MAX BILL rate: $61/hr

Location: Waterbury, can be fully remote, EST preferred

Hours: normal business hours

Interview process: 1-2 rounds via teams

Job description:

This role will support the Software Asset Management Director in executing software asset management operational tasks. The role focuses on maintaining the software inventory, license management and compliance reporting.

Responsibilities:

    • Review weekly purchases and identify items that require action.
    • Create record updates on new software purchases.
    • Submit content requests or service requests and follow up accordingly.
    • Normalize software inventory data within asset management tool.
    • Provide governance reports and performance updates.
    • Facilitate the collection of license entitlements and supporting documentation per software.
    • Review and understand contract terms and conditions.
    • Track, maintain, and coordinate license and maintenance agreement renewals with software owners.
    • Assist in software review process, capturing updates and decisions.

Qualifications:

    • High school diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree preferred
    • 2+ years' experience in IT, IT Asset Management, Software Asset Management preferred
    • Understanding of Asset Management tools and technologies
    • Understanding of software licensing and contracts
    • Knowledge of Software Asset Management principles / practices
    • Preferred Experience with ServiceNow SAM Pro
    • Strong quantitative, analytical, problem-solving skills, including the ability to accumulate, organize, and assimilate large amounts of information.
    • Strong communication skills

ADDITIONAL NOTES:

  • 3 month contract to start, interest to extend or hire if the worker is a good fit.
