Hybrid Senior Software Engineer – Job Opportunity
Join a leading multinational company serving the Aerospace, Defense, Transportation, and Security industries.
Position Details
- Location: Plantation, FL (Hybrid – 3 days onsite; Tuesday and Wednesday mandatory)
- Pay Rate: $94/hr. on W2
- Benefits: Medical, Dental & Vision Insurance
- Contract: 14+ months (potential extension or permanent conversion)
- Schedule: 40 hours/week, core hours 10 AM–4 PM EST
- Pay Frequency: Weekly
Interview Process
- 30-minute initial team screening
- Technical and non-technical panel interviews
- At least one panel interview onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and refactor embedded software for next-generation platforms.
- Troubleshoot complex software issues, including multithreaded applications.
- Participate in software requirements, design reviews, and product releases.
- Collaborate with hardware, software, security, and testing teams.
- Mentor junior engineers and communicate project progress.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- 5–8 years of relevant software engineering experience.
- 3+ years of embedded systems experience.
- 3+ years of programming experience in C/C++.
- Experience with software configuration management tools.
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills, particularly with multithreaded applications.
Preferred Skills
- Master's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
- Java or Python.
- AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud APIs.
- Docker, Kubernetes, Linux, and virtualization.
- REST APIs, OpenAPI/Swagger, and CI/CD.
- Agile/SAFe methodologies.
- TLS/SSL and encryption security.
