We are seeking a Financial Analyst to join the Cost Basis Team within Tax Reporting Operations. This role focuses on researching, updating, and maintaining cost basis and tax lot information to support accurate IRS reporting. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and experienced working with financial records in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Research and resolve cost basis inquiries and update requests.
- Analyze and update tax lot information within the Global Tax Lots system.
- Investigate and correct transactional discrepancies impacting cost basis reporting.
- Process transactions and maintain records in accordance with established procedures and regulations.
- Generate reports and perform accurate data entry.
- Partner with internal teams to resolve issues and support operational needs.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement.
- Assist with training and knowledge sharing when needed.
- Escalate complex issues appropriately.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, company policies, and IRS requirements.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience in financial services, operations, accounting, tax reporting, or a related field preferred.
- Experience reviewing financial statements, records, or transactional data.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Understanding of operational procedures, policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to resolve inquiries and deliver quality client service.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Professional attitude with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting.
- Knowledge of IRS regulations and tax reporting is a plus.
- Flexibility to work overtime during peak periods, particularly Tax Season (January-April).
