Responsibilities:
With close supervision, summer interns will work with professional engineers, engineers-in-training, and drafters on current projects
Structural Assignments may include:
- Analysis and design of building structure components such as foundations, columns, beams and floor framing systems, lateral force resisting systems, etc. Will require learning several structural analysis software.
- Use of Revit to coordinate with architecture and other disciplines and to produce construction documents
- Construction administration tasks such as reviewing RFIs and submittals
- Potential for construction site visits in the vicinity of the internship
Qualifications:
- Currently a college student working to obtain a professional degree from an accredited Civil Engineering or Architectural Engineering program.
- Entry level student intern on the path to Engineer-in-Training certification with little or no previous experience
- Working knowledge of Revit or other BIM drafting and presentation tools preferred Entry-level
