About the Protection and Control Engineer - Senior position in Substation, Protection and Control Team
ControlPoint Technologies is seeking a Senior Protection and Control Engineer to provide project support within our Substation Protection and Control Engineering team.
Candidates must have direct experience with substation protection and control projects for electric utilities. The projects will range from 4kV to 345kV and the candidate will be client facing and interface with the other disciplines.
Technical Responsibilities:
Base Compensation Range: $95,000.00-$134,000.00
The base compensation range for this position is based on education, work experience, licensure, and qualifications.

ControlPoint Technologies is seeking a Senior Protection and Control Engineer to provide project support within our Substation Protection and Control Engineering team.
Candidates must have direct experience with substation protection and control projects for electric utilities. The projects will range from 4kV to 345kV and the candidate will be client facing and interface with the other disciplines.
Technical Responsibilities:
- One Lines
- Three Line diagrams
- AC and DC schematics
- SCADA/RTU system design
- Panel layouts and Wiring
- Bill of Material Development
- Coordination with other disciplines (Civil/Structural, Substation)
- Relay Settings experience is a plus
- Perform quality control/assurance reviews
- Project support from scoping to final design and project closeout

- Strong client focus and customer service
- Excellent communication skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
- Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) is a plus with ambition to obtain Professional Engineering Licensure (PE)
- Minimum of Five (5) years' experience in electric utility industry
- Experience in utility substation engineering with focus on design packages
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or MicroStation is a plus
- Excellent Verbal and Written Communication Skills
Base Compensation Range: $95,000.00-$134,000.00
