Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a primary day-to-day contact for a portfolio of architecture-firm and building-owner clients
- Perform structural engineering design, analysis, and drawing review on building projects
- Coordinate project scope, schedule, and deliverables between clients and internal engineering staff
- Identify opportunities to expand and deepen existing client relationships
- Prepare proposals, fee estimates, and scope documents in partnership with firm leadership
- Attend client meetings, site visits, and project coordination calls as the face of the firm
- Collaborate with senior engineers on technical quality control for assigned projects
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or closely related field)
- 7-10 years of structural engineering experience, including buildings and special structures
- Demonstrated experience managing client relationships directly and independently
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong presence in client-facing settings
- Solid working knowledge of applicable building codes and structural design standards
- Ability to manage multiple projects and client accounts simultaneously
- Active Structural Engineer (SE) license (not required, but a plus)
- Prior experience working directly with architecture firms as primary clients
- Business development or account-growth experience
- Familiarity with AutoCAD and/or Revit structural workflows
