Job Details

The Senior Project Engineer (Sr. PE) independently manages significant scopes of work for large jobs and a full range of project engineer competencies on smaller jobs. The Sr. PE enables the Project Manager to spread attention to other projects without harming the progress of the project or the relationships with the owners or subcontractors. Sr. PEs are also responsible for providing service to the team at a level where mistakes pose some risk to Truebeck.

What you will do

  • Coordinate with project architects, Truebeck team members and field personnel.
  • Responsible for Request Of Information (RIF) and submittal process.
  • Manage project trade contractors.
  • Act as the "information hub" for project to office and field personnel to ensure continuity of work.
  • Offer technical information to project manager and superintendents to ensure work complies with the contract drawings and specifications.
  • Coordinate change orders, expedite material and job site equipment, assist in preparation of estimates, and compile data to assist in analyzing project progress.
  • Monitor and track project quality control metrics and activities on a regular basis.
  • Provide timely and accurate quality reports.
  • Inspect all materials and work to assure compliance with plans and specifications.
  • Ensure project documents are complete, current and stored appropriately.

Your Experience

  • 4 year college degree preferred in civil engineering, construction management, architectural engineering or equivalent.
  • Full knowledge of computer software, i.e. Procure, Timberline, Bluebeam, Revit, MS Word, Excel is preferred.

Range of base pay is $112,000-$132,000.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

The incumbent typically works in a construction environment where duties will be performed indoors and outdoors. While performing the duties of this Job, the incumbent is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions; extreme cold and extreme heat. The employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals; risk of electrical shock and risk of vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to very loud. Overtime may be required to meet project deadlines.

The employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel, operate a computer keyboard, mouse and other business machines; reach and bend with arms and hands; use eyes to see close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and to adjust focus; climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; stand, walk, talk, and hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit and lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
