The Senior Mechanical Engineer will lead the design and development of mechanical systems for gas turbine power generation and industrial process equipment. This role is responsible for product design, engineering analysis, cross-functional collaboration, and ensuring designs are manufacturable, reliable, and compliant with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of mechanical systems for power generation equipment.
- Create 3D models and detailed drawings using SolidWorks and SolidWorks PDM.
- Perform engineering analysis including thermal, structural, fluid flow, acoustic, and vibration analysis.
- Review manufacturing drawings, BOMs, and technical documentation.
- Ensure compliance with GD&T, material selection, manufacturability, and industry standards.
- Collaborate with engineering, production, project management, suppliers, and customers.
- Support fabrication, installation, testing, and project execution.
- Drive continuous improvement in design processes and mentor engineering teams.
- Travel up to 30% to customer and supplier sites.
Required Qualifications
- BS in Mechanical, Electrical, Process, or Industrial Engineering (Master's preferred).
- 6-10 years of mechanical engineering experience.
- Strong proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and SolidWorks PDM.
- Experience with sheet metal fabrication/manufacturing.
- Expertise in thermal, structural, acoustical, and power generation systems.
- Strong understanding of GD&T, manufacturing processes, and BOM creation.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- EIT/PE certification is preferred.
