Byrne & Jones is looking for a Project Manager, Engineer to lead civil design efforts for sports, parks, and site development projects. This role combines hands-on engineering, design review, and leadership while working closely with clients, agencies, and internal teams.
What You'll Do:
- Lead, design, and review civil designs (grading, drainage, stormwater, turf-base systems)
- Collaborate with estimating, project management, and sales teams, attending client hand-off meetings and providing ongoing project support
- Provide QA/QC for work produced by Civil Designers and Project Engineers
- Ensure designs meet municipal, state, and agency standards (AHJs, MODNR, USACE, etc.)
- Mentor, train, and support engineering staff
- Prepare and review permit submittals and coordinate approvals
- Attend client and municipal meetings
- Help manage workloads and support smooth handoff to construction
What We're Looking For:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent experience)
- Professional Engineer (PE) license strongly preferred
- 5+ years of civil engineering experience (site design and project coordination)
- Proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D
- Strong knowledge of grading, drainage, and stormwater design
- Sports/parks experience and Midwest standards knowledge are a plus

Work Environment/Physical Requirements:
- Ability to perform essential job functions while working at a computer for
