Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The Project Engineer (PE) schedules and coordinates work in the most efficient manner and ensures construction meets or exceeds the expectations of the owner and architect and is in accordance with the project's plan and specifications. The PE is responsible for maintaining open and positive channels of communication with the field, owner, architect, and subcontractors to ensure efficient completion of project. PEs are also responsible for providing service to the team at a level where mistakes pose a limited risk to Truebeck.

Physical Demands and Work Environment
The incumbent typically works in a construction environment where duties will be performed indoors and outdoors. While performing the duties of this Job, the incumbent is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions; extreme cold and extreme heat. The employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals; risk of electrical shock and risk of vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to very loud. Overtime may be required to meet project deadlines.
The employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel, operate a computer keyboard, mouse and other business machines; reach and bend with arms and hands; use eyes to see close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and to adjust focus; climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; stand, walk, talk, and hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit and lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Project Management
- Coordinate various scopes of work with project architects, designers, owners, and field personnel in an efficient and least-disruptive manner to ensure continuity of work.
- Under the supervision of Project Manager and/or Senior Project Engineer, develop skills to help manage project subcontractors.
- Resolve all outstanding issues with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure quick and efficient demobilization of project.
- Oversees performance of all trade contractors and reviews architectural and engineering drawings to ensure that all specifications and regulations are being followed.
- Use appropriate software to develop schedules and Implement QC/QA program for project.
- Price change proposals/orders in a timely manner and ensure they receive proper owner approval.
- Responsible for Request for Information (RFI) generation and submittal process.
- Offers technical information to project supervisor to ensure work complies with applicable codes, drawings, and specifications.
- Expedite material and job site equipment, assist in preparation of estimates, and compile data to assist in analyzing project progress.
- Monitor and track project quality control metrics and activities on a regular basis, provide timely and accurate quality reports, and raise issues to Project Manager or Superintendent as appropriate.
- Ensures project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.

- Identify new opportunities within the context of the assigned project or professional network.
- Participate and seek out opportunities to participate in industry associations and events.
- Maintain positive rapport with field and office staff, owner, architect, and subcontractors.
Knowledge, Education, and experience
- Graduate of a four-year degree program in construction management, construction science, or civil engineering.
- Zero to three years previous experience working for a General Contractor.
- Full knowledge of computer software, i.e. MS Word, Excel, Project.
- Working knowledge Autocad or Revit a plus.
- Broad knowledge of LEAN and BIM techniques.
Skills and specifications
- Full understanding of prime contract, general conditions, subcontractor's and Truebeck's scope, critical path, and the 3-step QC process.
- Organized, efficient, able to multi-task effectively, hardworking, and dedicated.
- Able to respond effectively to ever changing demands in a dynamic environment.
- Effectively communicate directions to subcontractors and willingly take and follow directions from others.
- Demonstrated analytical, problem solving, and both oral and written communication skills.
