About the Process Engineer Internship:

Provide technical support to operations by spending time on the floor learning processes, troubleshooting, and leading and/or participating on multiple process improvement teams.

Program structure:
  • Schedule: Part-time (15-20 hours/week) during the academic year and full-time (40 hours/week) during the summer.
  • Location: Milwaukee - Menomonee Valley
  • Start Date: January 2027
  • Duration: Year-round internship

What we're looking for:
  • Enrollment in a four-year degree program in Engineering or a related field with current status of at least a Sophomore level.
  • Cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software: Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.
  • Ability to succeed in a team environment.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks.

Preferred experience:
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
  • AutoCAD experience.

What you'll focus on:
  • Investigate, evaluate and develop project estimates for a variety of operational business challenges at Charter Wire.
  • Design solutions to resolve challenges throughout the building via AutoCad (SolidWorks) part creation with occasional utilization of 3D printing.
  • Manage process data collection and analysis as part of project tracking and completion.
