Job description

The Mechanical Product Engineer provides technical support, drawings, BOMs, and engineering solutions to meet customer, installation, and shipment requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create and maintain technical drawings, BOMs, part numbers, descriptions, and ERP inventory values
  • Maintain open job logs, prioritize work, and support delivery schedules
  • Initiate engineering releases and purchase requisitions for internal sales orders
  • Analyze customer requests and recommend technical solutions
  • Collaborate with internal teams and vendors on fixture/tooling selection, design, troubleshooting, corrective actions, and project schedules
  • Support special events and business needs as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Design Engineering, related discipline, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of workholding and manufacturing experience
  • 5+ years using advanced AutoCAD and SolidWorks 3D modeling
  • Strong applied math skills, including geometry, trigonometry, probability/statistics, and pressure/flow/volume calculations
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with JTEKT Machinery/Toyoda products
  • Manufacturing or machine tool design engineering experience
  • Mechanical or design engineering trade certificate or licensing preferred
