SAIC is seeking a motivated Mechanical Engineer to join our team supporting the U.S. Navy at NSWC Crane in Crane, IN. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career engineer to work hands-on with advanced missile battery systems and next-generation energy technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and document test plans and procedures for missile battery systems.
• Set up and execute tests in lab/field environments.
• Collect, analyze, and summarize data to evaluate battery performance and aging.
• Prepare concise reports and recommendations for new designs and prototypes.
• Perform aging/surveillance, lot acceptance, qualification, and special engineering tests.
• Ensure all work complies with DoD and Navy test requirements.
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering and zero years of related experience
Required Clearance:
Interim Secret Clearance will be required to start with ability to obtain a Secret clearance. SAIC will sponsor the clearance process.

Preferred Experience:
Exposure battery development and testing
Fixture design/Solidworks/CAD
