Manufacturing Engineer 3 - Assembly and Installation
Location: Berkeley, MO (100% Onsite) | Job Type: Contract to Hire

About the Role
Advance your engineering career in a high-impact role supporting aircraft assembly and installation at our cutting-edge Berkeley, Missouri facility. As a Manufacturing Engineer 3, you will drive the successful fabrication, assembly, and installation of complex hardware by collaborating with cross-functional teams and leveraging your technical expertise. You will gain hands-on experience supporting both laboratory and shipside environments, with opportunities to grow your skills in advanced manufacturing processes, project management, and cross-functional coordination.

Responsibilities

- Analyze and synthesize requirements for test hardware and instrumentation for machine shop fabrication, laboratory, and flight tests
- Review and interpret design models and drawings, ensuring manufacturing feasibility and accuracy
- Generate and review redlines, collaborating closely with design teams to implement updates
- Create detailed manufacturing plans to streamline fabrication, assembly, and installation processes
- Initiate and coordinate sourcing of parts and materials, including work statement creation and supplier management
- Provide on-site technical support during installation and lab setup, troubleshooting issues in real time
- Liaise with internal shop teams, technicians, engineers, designers, and customers to ensure project success
- Manage coordination between company sites, supporting manufacturing engineering tasks as business needs arise

Required Skills and Experience

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or equivalent non-US qualification
- Minimum 2 years' experience in engineering design or manufacturing engineering
- At least 2 years' experience with manufacturing planning tools
- Proficiency with a design tool such as CATIA or Siemens NX
- Ability to work 100% onsite in Berkeley, MO
- Must be authorized to work without sponsorship; background check and drug screen required

Preferred Skills

- Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- 3+ years' manufacturing engineering experience, including redline creation and coordination with design teams
- Familiarity with MESci, Engineering Change Notices (ECNs), procurement systems, and flight test worksheets
- Knowledge of electrical fabrication, CNC machining, inspection, rapid prototyping, and structural analysis
- Experience supporting product testing in flight or lab environments
- Proficiency in ENOVIA, NX, or Teamcenter
