Position Summary
The Machining NPI Engineer is responsible for the industrialization and introduction of new machining products into production.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement new machining products and manufacturing processes.
- Define machining sequences, operations, tooling and fixtures requirements.
- Prepare work instructions, process documents, and tooling requirements.
- Support CNC programming and machining process development using Mastercam and Siemens NX.
- Provide technical support for tooling, fixtures, and machining equipment validation/qualification.
- Support FAI and capability studies to ensure customer requirements are achieved.
- Support completion of APQP phases and required NPI documentation.
- Perform machining trials, iterations, process validation, and production process runs.
- Investigate machining and process-related issues and implement effective solutions.
- Support shop floor personnel during new product introduction and production launch.
- Participate in non-conforming product review and provide technical disposition support.
- Actively participate in and initiate continuous improvement, cost-saving, Kaizen, and EHS activities.
Requirements
- Engineering Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering.
- Good knowledge of CNC machining processes, including milling ,EDM and turning.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, GD&T, tooling designs, and specifications.
- Knowledge of CNC programming and CAM software, preferably Mastercam and/or Siemens NX.
- Up to 5 years of working experience in machining/manufacturing.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good level of English and good communication skills.
