Job Description:
Under the direction of the Section Manager, Design and Construction, the Electrical Engineer Project Manager is responsible for electrical design discipline oversight and review for architectural and engineering professional services contracts and construction contracts. Essential functions include:
  1. Writing electrical portions of project scopes for solicitation of architectural and engineering professional services.
  2. Oversight review and negotiation of electrical portions of professional services fee proposals; design review of project documentation and contractual responsibilities during pre-design, design, construction, and warranty periods; performing quality assurance/quality control reviews for architectural and engineering design submittals related to electrical systems.
  3. Writing electrical portions of construction documents for bid letting for construction; inspecting construction contract work in the field and ensuring that project is constructed in accordance with detailed plans and specifications.
  4. Reviewing and negotiating contractor change order proposals related to electrical systems and electrical components.
  5. Performing other duties as assigned.


Qualifications
Education:

Must have a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.

Certifications/licenses:

Must have valid Class D Driver's License. An Engineer-in-Training Certification and/or professional engineering license is preferred.

Experience:

Must have a minimum of four years of design and/or construction administration experience, an emphasis on site inspection/observation is preferred.

Proficiencies:

Knowledge of design for factory/industrial maintenance facilities, including building and site lighting, power and standby power, fire alarm, security/surveillance, data cabling systems, battery electric vehicle charging, photovoltaics, and building systems commissioning experience is preferred. Must be proficient using Microsoft Office suite applications (Outlook, Word, Excel); experience using AutoCAD is preferred. Building systems commissioning expertise is a plus. Previous experience using e-Builder and Bluebeam is preferred.

Must be a self-starter with strong organization, research, and written communication skills, be detail and analytically oriented with the ability to prioritize and actively participate amongst multiple project teams simultaneously.

Physical requirements:

Must be able to sit and type at a computer for extended periods. Must have the ability to maneuver on a construction site.

Working Conditions:

The position is based in an office setting with standard office equipment. However, occasional travel to Pace construction sites may be required, where the employee may be exposed to loud noises, noxious odors, and inclement weather. This position is eligible to work a hybrid schedule after successful completion of 6-month job introduction period.

Salary:

E5 Full Salary Range: $70,902-$154,928

Midpoint: $112,915

Anticipated Starting Salary Range: $91,908 - $112,915
