Job Summary

This role focuses on the engineering of low and medium voltage electrical systems, including switchboards, switchgear, and integrated power distribution solutions. The position offers exposure across the full product lifecycle-from design and documentation through manufacturing support, testing, and delivery-within a growing and high-demand infrastructure market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop electrical equipment including switchboards, switchgear, and power distribution systems
  • Create detailed engineering documentation including electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, bills of material (BOM), and equipment layouts
  • Partner with mechanical and manufacturing teams to support integration and design-for-manufacturing
  • Perform basic to intermediate power system analysis to support performance, safety, and compliance validation
  • Interface with internal teams and customers to support project requirements and technical execution
  • Ensure designs align with applicable standards including NEC, UL, and customer-specific requirements
  • Support product testing, certification, and quality assurance activities
  • Contribute to ongoing improvements in product design, efficiency, and manufacturability

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
  • 3-8 years of experience in electrical design, ideally within power distribution, control panels, or related equipment
  • Working knowledge of electrical distribution systems, switchboards, or control panel design
  • Experience with AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, or similar design tools
  • Exposure to power system analysis tools such as ETAP, SKM, or EasyPower (preferred but not required)
  • Familiarity with manufacturing environments and design-for-manufacturing concepts
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skill

Preferred Experience

  • Exposure to UL standards (UL891, UL1558) or willingness to learn
  • Experience with control systems, PLCs, or panel-based designs
  • Basic understanding of arc flash, thermal considerations, and electrical safety
  • Exposure to mission-critical or data center environments
