Job description

For over 30 years, Architectural Surfaces has delivered comprehensive millwork solutions for the commercial market and we are growing! We are seeking a talented Engineer to join our team in Chattanooga.

What You'll Do:
  • Create detailed 3D/2D millwork shop drawings using AutoCAD and Microvellum.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers and Engineering Managers to refine designs before submittal.
  • Convert field dimensions into "As Built" drawings for production.
  • Identify materials for purchase and generate mill tickets to guide production.

What You'll Bring:
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD (Microvellum experience is a plus).
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and construction project manuals
  • Knowledge of AWI standards
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in construction or millwork manufacturing
  • Experience working in INNERGY preferred but not required
  • Ability to follow industry standards and customer specifications.

Physical Requirements - Work is performed in an office environment.

  • Stationary work: requiring ability to sit, stand for long periods of time.
  • Moderate amounts of walking involved in travel, walking stores, and reviewing protypes.
  • Consistent use of repetitive motion. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers to view and operate computer, phone, and basic office equipment.
  • Occasional lift/push/pull up to 20 pounds
