Job Summary
Ascend Wellness Holdings (AWH) is seeking a skilled and motivated Tablet Production Supervisor to support our cannabis tablet manufacturing operations. This role will report directly to the tablet production manager and will supervise the full lifecycle of directly compressible tablet formulations - from batching and blending to compression and coating - ensuring production runs safely, efficiently, and in compliance with cGMP and regulatory standards. This is a hands-on leadership position in a dynamic production environment, focused on delivering consistent, high-quality tablet products.
Pay: $55,000 - $65,000
Key Responsibilities:
- Production Oversight: Oversee all pre-compression upstream activities including dispensing, blending, and R&D testing to ensure material is available for compression and coating with sufficient time to meet production timeline. Compress and coat all tablets to the applicable Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), which includes in-process quality checks at designated intervals to ensure all products meet the established standard.
- Machinery Operation & Maintenance: Operate, perform preventative maintenance, and troubleshoot issues/errors on all tablet production machinery and auxiliary equipment in accordance with safety and compliance guidelines.
- Documentation & Compliance: Accurately complete batch records, logs, and other production documentation in accordance with both GDP and cGMP requirements.
- Problem Solving: Proactively identify, address, and resolve operational issues related to tablet production to minimize downtime and maintain steady production flow to meet production timeline
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent required; vocational or technical training preferred.
- Advanced technical and mechanical skills
- Minimum 2 years of machine operation experience in a manufacturing, pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, or food production environment.
- Strong technical and mechanical aptitude with excellent attention to detail and documentation skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and work in a production environment with exposure to dust, raw materials, and botanical powders.
- Ability to travel during training period for two 2 week deployments in New York.
Working Environment:
- Factory-based position with potential exposure to airborne materials typical of tablet manufacturing.
- Appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) will be provided and required to be worn at all times in production areas.
