Job Summary
Transports medical supplies, mail, lab specimens, medical records, and linen between Prisma Health facilities in a timely manner.
Essential Functions
- All team members are expected to be knowledgeable and compliant with Prisma Health's purpose: Inspire health. Serve with compassion. Be the difference.
- Operates the courier vehicle/truck in accordance with written policies/procedures and state and local laws. Transports all materials between facilities in a timely manner as scheduled.
- Follows chain of custody procedures and maintains confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Utilizes tracking technology and acquires necessary signatures upon delivery.
- Handles all materials with appropriate care, including temperature-sensitive items.
- In coordination with management, adjusts schedule to accommodate rush orders and other priorities.
- Responsible for routine maintenance of vehicles including gas, oil, air, etc. Reports service and repair requirements to Supervisor.
- Loads and unloads material transported and delivers to designated areas.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Supervisory/Management Responsibilities
- This is a non-management job that will report to a supervisor, manager, director, or executive.
Minimum Requirements
- Education - High School diploma or equivalent or post-high school diploma / highest degree earned
- Experience - No experience required.

- Valid Driver's License and an acceptable motor vehicle record as defined by the Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) chart.
