Job Summary
Plans, coordinates, implements, and evaluates a variety of recreation programs and services to meet participant needs for social, physical, and cognitive functioning.
Essential Functions

- Performs appropriate initial recreational therapy assessments and re-assessments upon referral from Interdisciplinary Team. Communicates participant changes to team members.
- Develops specific therapeutic programs as part of the plan of care to include recreational and social activities.
- Documents accordingly in the participant's medical record.
- Develops, implements and supervises the activity program.
- Serves as a resource to staff and coordinates volunteer activities at the center.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Supervisory/Management Responsibility
- This is a non-management job that will report to a supervisor, manager, director, or executive.
Minimum Requirements
- Education - Bachelor's degree in Recreational Therapy or related field of study.
- Experience - One (1) year of experience in an environment with a frail or elderly population
