Job Summary
Responsible for scheduling patients requiring admission, diagnostics and treatment services, and classes provided by Prisma Health.

Essential Functions
  • All team members are expected to be knowledgeable and compliant with Prisma Health's values: Inspire health. Serve with compassion. Be the difference.
  • Coordinates the scheduling of patients requiring admission, diagnostic procedures or classes. Sequences multiple tests/procedures as needed. Gathers all required patient demographic, clinical and financial information. Coordinates appointments and classes with the appropriate clinical and clerical staff.
  • Coordinates physician scheduling with the on-call schedulers
  • Follows protocols for "day of", prep instructions, emergencies, and rescheduling.
  • Communicates with physician office representatives in a professional and efficient manner.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • This is a non-management job that will report to a supervisor, manager, director or executive.


Minimum Requirements
  • Education - High School diploma or equivalent or post-high school diploma / highest degree earned
  • Experience - Three (3) years related work experience

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Familiarity with medical terminology
  • Proficient in use of telephone equipment, voicemail, and Windows
  • Medical office, multi-physician practice, or in-patient medical unit experience- Preferred
