Job Summary
Responsible for directing and planning the day-to-day operations of group benefits programs. Provides excellent customer service and designs quality benefits plans. Investigates new benefits programs, improves existing programs, and supervises and monitors benefits administration.

Essential Functions

  • Serves as primary contact for plan vendors and third-party administrators.
  • Evaluates and revises internal processes to reduce costs and increase efficiency
  • Documents and maintains administrative procedures for assigned benefits processes.
  • Ensures compliance with applicable government regulations. Ensure timeliness and accuracy of required reporting and fees.
  • Maintains group benefit database and update payroll as necessary.
  • Audits the accuracy and performance of functions performed by Total Rewards team, reporting any deficiencies or opportunities for improvement to the Manager, Benefits.
  • Performs plan audits. Prepare, collect and organize data for actuarial assessments
  • Submits annual filings, on time, to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Provides customer service support to internal and external customers.
  • Develops communication tools to enhance understanding of the company's benefit package.
  • Develops knowledge articles to assist the Shared Services center operate efficiently.
  • Provides ongoing training to Workforce Advisors and Consultants.
  • Distributes legally required documents to team members
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Supervisory/Management Responsibilities
  • This is a non-management job that will report to a supervisor, manager, director or executive.


Minimum Requirements
  • Education - Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field of study. Master's degree preferred.
  • Experience - Four (4) years of experience in administering employee benefit programs. Experience in large organizations preferred.


In Lieu Of
  • In lieu of education, individuals with prior benefits experience and benefits leadership experience may be considered, but obtainment of a bachelor's degree is strongly preferred.


Required Certifications, Registrations, Licenses
  • SPHR, CEBS, GBA preferred


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Advanced knowledge and proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Effective at data conversion
  • Workday knowledge preferred
  • Benefit Administration System experience preferred
