Position: Processing Technician

Pay: $24.50 per hour

Job Description:

Processing Technicians play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the Processing and Infusion Department. They’re responsible for handling and preparing cannabis materials, monitoring product quality and consistency, tracking inventory, and maintaining accurate production records. Processing Technicians work closely with the team to meet production goals, maintain a clean and organized workspace, follow established procedures, and ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with company and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor cannabis material during processing phases.
  • Maintain electronic and paper logs for accurate weighing, tracking, and reporting of all inventory.
  • Input data and manage the flow of production.
  • Clean production areas to prevent cross-contamination and ensure compliance with local and state health regulations.
  • Conduct visual inspections to ensure the product meets or exceeds quality standards.
  • Follow appropriate quality control measures and in-process checks.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Required Skills:

  • Proficiency in computer programs such as MS Office and METRC, among other systems.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations for proper batch formulation.
  • Keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to perform under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively.

Preferred Experience:

  • 1+ years of manufacturing experience with a focus on inventory tracking, product safety, consumer safety, and maintaining high product quality.
  • 1+ year of experience working in a hospital or other highly regulated, sanitary environment.
  • Experience in the cannabis, food manufacturing, pharmaceutical, or other regulated production industries.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds for extended periods
  • Must maintain a clean facial appearance; a form-fitted mask, provided upon hire, requires either a clean-shaven face or neatly groomed facial hair.
  • Respiratory Fit Test –
    • Completion of a two-part evaluation for respiratory clearance:
      • Part 1: A written health questionnaire to evaluate your medical history and eligibility for respirator use.
      • Part 2: A respiratory fit test to ensure proper fit and functionality of the equipment required for this position.
  • Please note that both parts of this evaluation must be successfully completed to qualify for this position. Failure to meet the requirements of either part will disqualify you from this role. However, you may still be considered for other positions within the company.
