Job description
SUMMARY: SUMMARY: Mental Health Technician is responsible for the direct, continuous observation of patients. She/he intervenes as necessary to prevent physical harm to patients who might be at elevated risk of injuring themselves or others due to confusion, delirium, self-destructive behavior, or a high likelihood of falling. Mental Health Technician works with others in the healthcare team to provide Activities of Daily Living and assure prompt intervention to maintain patient safety.
EXPERIENCE: Hospital patient care experience within the last three years.
OTHER: Prolonged sitting, standing, and walking.
LICENSE/CERT: Required: BLS (Basic Life Support) from AHA (American Heart Association)
EDUCATION: Required: High School or Equivalent
