Job description

SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Department of Pharmacy management team, performs the functions of a pharmacist to ensure that the patient is provided quality pharmaceutical care. Also, supervises and directs pharmacy technicians in achieving departmental goals. In absence of pharmacy management, may be required to assume essential responsibilities of pharmacy management.

EXPERIENCE: Formal recognition by peers as a model practitioner (ex. BCPS, fellowship) or PGY2 residency training or PGY1 residency training and 3 years of health system experience required.

SPECIAL SKILLS: Clinical pharmacy specialists must meet the requirements to precept PGY-1 residents as established by the most recently published American Society of Health System Pharmacists Accreditation Standard.

OTHER: Full-time employment (0.9 FTE) required. Precept 2 pharmacy students per employee evaluation period required. Primary role as clinical pharmacy specialist on a NKCH patient care area required.

EDUCATION: Required: Other - Graduate of an ACPE-accredited school of pharmacy program
