Job description
East Coast Cannabis is seeking an outgoing, motivated, and community-minded college student to join our team as a Community Brand Ambassador & Retail Associate. This unique part-time position combines retail experience with grassroots marketing and brand engagement.
In this role, you'll serve as a representative of East Coast Cannabis within your local community, helping build brand awareness, connect with adult consumers in the local community, and support East Coast Cannabis marketing and outreach initiatives. You'll work closely with our Marketing Team to execute promotional initiatives, distribute approved marketing materials, and provide valuable feedback on engagement efforts.
Responsibilities
Community Engagement Ambassador
- Represent East Coast Cannabis in a professional and positive manner within the local community.
- Build awareness of the East Coast Cannabis brand through peer-to-peer engagement and networking.
- Distribute approved promotional materials, swag, discount cards, and other marketing collateral.
- Promote upcoming events, product launches, and special promotions.
- Assist with community outreach efforts and marketing initiatives.
- Work promotional events, pop-ups, and community events as needed.
- Collaborate with the Marketing Team to develop new ideas and opportunities for community engagement.
- Track and report engagement metrics, community feedback, and promotional activity.
- Develop knowledge of East Coast Cannabis products and promotions.
Retail Associate
- Work approximately 5 hours per week in-store as a Retail Associate.
- Provide exceptional customer service to guests.
- Support daily retail operations, including customer education, merchandising, and store upkeep.
- Maintain compliance with all company policies and state cannabis regulations.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a local college or university.
- Must be at least 21 years of age and eligible to obtain a Maine Individual Identification Card (IIC).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Active involvement in organizations, activities, or student life preferred.
- Comfortable engaging with diverse groups of people.
- Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
- Passion for marketing, brand building, customer service, or community engagement.
Schedule
- Approximately 5 hours per week in-store.
- Additional flexible hours may be available for events, promotions, and engagement activities.

- A minimum of 1 years in a customer service role in a retail or hospitality environment
- Minimum 21 years of age (or as required by state regulations)
- A minimum of a High School diploma is required
- Intermediate-level math skills
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to solve and resolve problems in a calm, professional, and courteous manner
- Strong computer-based skills
