Job description
The Interior Budtender will be responsible for delivering high-quality service, maintaining professionalism, and ensuring compliance with all regulations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in customer service and/or sales, preferably within the cannabis industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Assistance: Guide medical patients and recreational guests to find the products that best suit their needs, offering knowledgeable recommendations and support.
- Sales Transactions: Efficiently process sales transactions, providing five-star customer service during each interaction and ensuring all transactions are compliant with HIPAA, allotment, and certification status regulations.
- Dispensary Maintenance: Keep the dispensary organized, clean, and well-stocked, and assist with restocking during quieter periods.
- Compliance: Maintain strict adherence to all legal and regulatory requirements, including proper ID verification and compliance with state regulations.
- Departmental Assistance: Support various departments within the dispensary as needed to ensure smooth operations.
Salary
$22 - $22 USD per hourRequired Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain required uniforms for the position using only pre-approved company options.
- Minimum of 5 years of demonstrated experience in customer service and/or sales in a fast-paced, demanding retail environment; dispensary experience preferred, with a focus on Maryland dispensaries.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must successfully pass a criminal background check.
- Proven experience with point of sales systems, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and strong organizational abilities.
- Positive attitude with the ability to thrive in high-volume sales settings and work effectively with diverse personality types.
- Ability to build and maintain long-term relationships with customers, addressing and resolving issues professionally.
- Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Ability to stand and walk for at least 8 hours, bend, kneel, crouch, and lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Genuine enthusiasm for cannabis and the cannabis industry, with a passion for GOLDLEAF’s brand and customer experience.
- Must have part-time evening (5-9pm), ongoing availability for nights and weekends.
Desired Skills
- 5+ years of customer service experience; preference for candidates with specialty, customer-facing retail experience
- Previous experience with POS systems
- Understanding of applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations as they pertain to the industry, personnel law, safety regulations, local municipal codes and organizational rules, regulations, directives and standard operating procedures
