The Role
The Kitchen Operations Supervisor is a hands-on evening leader responsible for overseeing live kitchen production and ensuring smooth shift execution. This role enforces strict adherence to SOPs, GMPs, and food safety standards while actively supporting Culinary Operations Leads and production teams on the floor.
You will monitor real-time operations, correct issues immediately, escalate risks when necessary, and maintain workflow integrity across production zones. Success in this role is measured by operational consistency, compliance, quality execution, and strong shift-to-shift communication.
You Are
- A strong floor leader who thrives during high-volume evening production
- Decisive and confident correcting issues in real time
- Detail-oriented with high standards for food safety and compliance
- Calm under pressure and able to prioritize quickly
- Clear and direct in communication with both hourly teams and leadership
- Comfortable spending the majority of your shift on the production floor
Must Have
- 2+ years of supervisory or leadership experience in a commercial kitchen, food production, or manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation, GMPs, and SOP-driven operations
- Proven ability to enforce standards and escalate issues appropriately
- Experience monitoring live production and supporting team decision-making
- Ability to remain organized and composed in fast-paced environments
Basic proficiency with production software, messaging tools, and digital reporting systems - Flexible availability (nights and weekends required)
Nice to Have
- Experience in ready-to-eat or high-volume production environments
- Experience conducting storage or ingredient audits
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
