Salary Range

The expected base rate for this Glens Falls, New York, United States-based position is $109,512.00 to $166,904.49 annually. (Salary is determined on a case-by-case basis commensurate with experience level, as well as education and certifications pertaining to each position which may be above the listed job requirements).

As a Nurse Manager, you hold full clinical, operational, and fiscal accountability for your unit or service line. Responsibilities

Strategic Operational & Fiscal Management

  • Direct the operational, clinical, and environmental workflows of the unit, including the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the annual budget.
  • Lead performance improvement initiatives by analyzing NDNQI nurse-sensitive indicators and Press Ganey patient satisfaction metrics.
  • Oversee progressive staffing models, develop peak census plans, manage shift-by-shift staffing adjustments, and audit payroll/pay practices.
  • Ensure continuous unit readiness in compliance with DNV and healthcare regulatory requirements.


People Leadership & Talent Development

  • Manage all aspects of the talent lifecycle, including selective hiring, clinical matrix supervision, performance evaluations, and competency verification.
  • Serve as the active council advisor to the unit-based council, ensuring your staff is deeply integrated into the Nursing Shared Leadership structure.
  • Act as a clinical resource, role model, and mentor. Facilitate learning opportunities, coordinate new-hire orientations, and lead high-impact monthly staff meetings.
  • Lead clinical investigations, address patient or customer concerns immediately, and execute decisive action plans to close safety gaps.


What You Bring (Qualifications)

Education & Licensure

  • Licensure: Active Registered Professional Nurse (RN) license in the State of New York.
  • Degrees: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master's degree (MSN or related field) preferred.
  • Certifications: Current BLS required (ACLS if service line specific). Nursing Leadership Certification is highly preferred (required within 2 years of eligibility).


Experience & Skills

  • Clinical Expertise: Minimum of 3 years of relevant clinical experience required (5 years preferred); previous nursing management experience highly preferred.
  • Leadership Capabilities: High emotional intelligence with a proven ability to navigate crucial conversations, resolve conflicts, and delegate effectively.
  • Technical & Analytical Savvy: Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR), Microsoft Office, and the utilization of clinical data platforms to improve patient outcomes.
