Job Description

The Inventory Control Lead plans, directs and assists in the comprehensive execution of the facility’s inventory needs including supply chain purchasing, receiving, product packaging, and order fulfillment. This position assists with driving the facility’s inventory program and ensures product orders are fulfilled accurately and timely.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Implements an inventory tracking system to record receiving shipments and purchase operational supplies.
• Leads a team of inventory employees including receiving and purchasing.
• Oversees the regular inventory cycle counts on supplies and finished product with analysis and reconciliation completed.
• Conducts daily and weekly inventory audits matching physical inventory to internal tracking and state compliance systems.
• Collaborates with operation teams to ensure weekly stock is available, organized and updated.
• Performs internal inventory transfers to verify quality control, regulatory compliance, and physical counts.
• Researches, trains, and implements continual awareness and understanding of the state’s medical marijuana rules and regulations.
• Follows order fulfillment process to accept, schedule, pack, and stage orders for delivery.
• Works with the sales team on all incoming and outgoing orders to ensure flawless execution.
• Coordinates and schedules product deliveries with sales and transport team.
• Attends all inventory meetings to ensure packaging supplies and finished product consistently meets customer demand.
• Works with accounts receivable and compliance on any invoicing or order issues that may require research and investigation.
• Reduces loss through efficient ordering and identification of waste.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be able to pass a background check.
• Comfortable learning and using new software.
• Must be able to communicate with NCCO Team effectively and professionally.
• Capable of working without supervision.
• Understands compliance regulations and adheres to SOP’s for specialized areas.
• Ability to handle multiple projects & tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to work well under pressure and within tight deadlines.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills are necessary.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office software.
• Strong ethics and reliability.
• Ability to stay focused.
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic. Must be a team player with a “can do” attitude.
• Available to work weekends and holidays as needed.
• Reliable transportation.

Education and Experience Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• 1 year of Inventory Control experience preferred
• Prior leadership experience

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• The ability to respond quickly to sounds
• The ability to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces
• The ability to see and respond to dangerous situations
• The ability to wear personal protective gear correctly most of the day
• The ability to sit or stand for up to 12 hours at a time
• The ability to work in bright/hot/humid conditions
• The ability to work in low light situations
• Lifting, standing, sitting, walking, bending, reaching, push/pull, repetitive use of hands, grasping use of hands, visual activity
• Exposure to limited hazardous chemicals
