Human Resources Generalist - Vermont, IL

Nature's Grace and Wellness is looking for an HR Generalist to join our growing team to enhance our HR functions! This individual will work out of our Vermont, IL Corporate Office to assist with enforcing company policies and practices. The ideal HR candidate should possess a strong understanding of employment laws and regulations, alongside excellent interpersonal and communication skills. A degree in Human Resources or a related field is preferred, with prior experience in employee relations, or benefits administration highly valued. Proficiency in HR software and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion are essential for success in this role

Responsibilities:

• Implements new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.
• Assist in maintaining the employee handbook, being very familiar with all aspects of it, and communicating company policies and procedures.

• Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure and certifications.
• May assist with recruiting, interviewing, and facilitating the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
• Assists with maintaining and implementing the performance review process in a timely manner.
• Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations and investigations.
• Assist with the planning and preparation of company events, organizational meetings, employee recognition events and holiday parties.
• Maintains compliance with federal, state and local employment laws and regulations and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
• Assist with providing HR metrics.
• Performs other HR related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.

• Bachelor's Degree and 1+ year of related experience or Associates Degree and 3+ years of directly related experience in a similar role.
• Thorough understanding of Employment Laws.

Requirements:

• Must be 21 years of age to apply
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to sit and/or stand for long periods of time
• Must be able to pass a federal background check
• Must be able to travel to assigned locations in Missouri as well (Marceline and Springfield MO as needed).
