Full-Time FLEX Armed Officer Position

*This is a Flex role. The selected candidate must be able to work at multiple locations and should be available to work in Tracy, Rio Vista, Antioch, Concord, and Vallejo.

This role requires availability across our five Bay Area locations, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.

Our Armed Security Officers play a vital role by actively observing their surroundings, positively engaging with customers and associates, and responding to emergency situations. 

This position requires open availability, including regular availability for graveyard/overnight shifts.

Pay: $32.00 per hour

Required Duties:  

• Availability to cover shifts across five Bay Area locations, including weekends, evenings, graveyard shifts, and holidays.
• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot.
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards.
• Call police or fire department in case of fire or presence of unauthorized persons.
• Warn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking or carrying forbidden articles.
• Monitor entrances and exits and permit authorized persons to enter property.
• Observe departing personnel to protect against theft of company property.
• Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities.
• Provide assistance to customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous manner.

Essential Job Functions:

Physical Requirements: 

• Ability to stand and walk for long periods.
• Duties may include sitting and standing or walking in inclement weather conditions.
• Ability to occasionally lift items not to exceed 20 pounds. 

Education/Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent education preferred.
• One year experience in retail, customer service and/or hospitality required.
• Five years experience in security preferred.

Required Certifications:

• Posses a VALID BSIS Guard Card.
• Posses a VALID BSIS Exposed Firearm Permit. 
• Obtain a California Baton Permit within 3 months of hire.
• Obtain a Taser Permit within 3 months of hire.
• Obtain a O/C Spray Permit within 3 months of hire.

Other Misc. Requirements:

• Must be 21 years of age.
• Selected candidate will be required to complete a post offer, pre-employment background check.
• Professional, tidy appearance and good personal hygiene.
• Must be able to accommodate scheduling expectations including weekend, evening, and holiday shifts.
• Must be on time and ready to work when scheduled with reliable transportation.
• Valid California Driver’s License or State issued ID Card.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or a foreign citizen authorized to legally work in the United States.
