Job description

A leading multi-state cannabis operator is looking for an experienced leader to oversee warehouse operations, inventory control, and fleet logistics. This role involves managing order fulfillment, coordinating deliveries, ensuring compliance, and leading a team to maintain efficiency in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills are key to success. Ideal candidates have experience in distribution, logistics, and people management, with a focus on operational excellence. 

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in warehouse management, distribution, and logistics operations.
  • Fleet management experience, overseeing a team of drivers and vehicle logistics.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing teams of 30+ employees, including supervisors and direct reports.
  • Experience in a high-volume distribution environment.
  • Ability to develop, implement, and adapt operational processes to improve efficiency.
  • Experience in a startup or fast-scaling environment, with the ability to pivot as needed.
  • Strong understanding of inventory control and order fulfillment processes.
  • Familiarity with warehouse facility setup, including racking and infrastructure improvements.
  • Compliance and security knowledge, ensuring adherence to regulations.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills to align teams and drive execution.

Desired Skills

  • Experience launching and optimizing Warehouse Management Systems.
  • Knowledge of 3PL operations and distribution networks.
  • Background in lean operations and process improvement methodologies.
  • Strong data analytics skills to track performance and drive decision-making.
  • Experience integrating handheld scanners and directed pick systems for efficiency.
  • Understanding of cannabis distribution dynamics or the ability to adapt quickly to regulated industries.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with sales, marketing, and inventory teams.
  • Track record of managing large-scale distribution and fulfillment operations across multiple locations.
