Water/Wastewater PM/Design Engineer

Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated Water/Wastewater PM/Design Engineer to lead municipal water and wastewater projects from concept through construction. This role combines project management and technical design responsibility for treatment, conveyance and collection systems. The successful candidate will manage client relationships, coordinate multi-disciplinary teams, produce engineering designs and specifications, and ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with JHA clients to include client relations, determination of project schedules and requirements, and the preparation of scope/fee proposals.
  • Serve as a project manager for preliminary/study, design, and construction phases on municipal water and wastewater projects.
  • Direct technicians and drafting personnel on projects and coordinate/implement project schedules.
  • Review project design plans and specifications for JHA clients to ensure compliance with local and State regulations.
  • Manage complex planning, studies, and investigations and prepare technical reports to detail findings.
  • Maintain and expand technical capabilities to ensure projects are utilizing current technology applicable to the industry.

Qualifications

  • B.S. in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
  • Certification(s) - Texas Licensed Professional Engineer (PE).
  • 6+ years' experience in municipal water and wastewater systems preferred
  • Strong technical and design background in water/wastewater industry
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, GIS, and/or modeling software is desirable
  • Project management and client relations experience
  • Strong technical skills with the ability to communicate effectively, work in a team environment, and operate under deadlines.
