We are seeking an experienced, mobile Superintendent - Traveller to oversee construction and renovation projects at restaurant, hospitality, and entertainment venues across multiple locations. The role requires hands-on construction and site supervision expertise, strong coordination with owners, contractors and operations teams, and the ability to travel regularly. The primary objective is to deliver projects on time, on budget and to operational standards while minimizing disruption to business operations.
Key Responsibilities

- Act as the on-site superintendent: supervise subcontractors, coordinate trades, verify work quality, enforce safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized site.
- Lead pre-construction and site mobilization activities including scope reviews, permits, site surveys and temporary protection plans to minimize impact on open restaurants and venues.
- Coordinate with operations managers and venue leadership to plan construction activities around business hours and special events, ensuring continuity of service.
- Prepare, review and maintain project documentation: daily reports, change orders, RFIs, punch lists, progress photographs and as-built notes.
- Manage material deliveries and inventory, secure site, and verify that installations meet specified standards and code requirements.
- Conduct regular inspections and quality assurance checks; identify and resolve defects or non-compliant work promptly.
- Maintain strict adherence to health, safety and regulatory requirements; lead toolbox talks and enforce PPE and site safety protocols.
- Communicate proactively with project stakeholders (owners, general contractors, design teams, and vendors) to escalate issues, propose solutions and track progress.
- Mentor and coordinate with on-site crews and local superintendent teams to ensure consistent standards across locations.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a construction superintendent or similar role, with demonstrated experience managing restaurant or tenant-improvement projects.
- Proven track record in supervising multi-site projects and travelling between active job sites; comfortable with frequent travel and temporary accommodations.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, building codes, MEP coordination, finishes and site safety practices.
- Experience working in operational restaurant, hospitality or entertainment environments; ability to plan work to minimize disruption to daily operations.
- Excellent communication, coordination and stakeholder management skills with ability to produce clear reports and documentation.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications and field-measure; competent with project management and reporting tools (Procore, PlanGrid, or similar).
- Valid drivers license and reliable travel availability; OSHA 30 or equivalent preferred.
