Job description
Chemical Process /Process Improvement Engineer
Location: Greater Memphis, TN Area (Onsite, no HYBRID or REMOTE work available at this time)
Position type: Direct hire/Perm
We are seeking a Process Improvement Engineer to support our formulation and manufacturing plant operations and continuous improvement initiatives, in a key role that will actively partner with production, maintenance, quality, and supply chain teams to improve safety, efficiency, product quality, and overall manufacturing performance.
This role is THE GLUE that works among all of our teams, to ensure safe, quality, timely, and innovative products are produced how, when and to the level that we all expect both inside the team, and from our customer base.
This is a role that will help our team DO BETTER at every turn.
Key Responsibilities
- Support process optimization and continuous improvement projects.
- Provide technical troubleshooting and production support.
- Develop and maintain operating procedures and process documentation.
- Analyze production data to identify improvement opportunities.
- Assist with employee training and process change implementation.
- Participate in root cause investigations and corrective actions.
- Support equipment upgrades, capital projects, and operational improvements.
- Promote a safe and compliant working environment.
- Collaborate across multiple departments to achieve plant objectives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or related Engineering field.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, ERP/MRP tools, Project management and team communication tools, systems.
- Experience in an ISO 9001/AS quality environment and an understanding of the importance of quality systems.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented manufacturing environment.
- Manufacturing, internship, or co-op experience preferred.
- Experience with quality systems and continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
