Core Responsibilities
- Prepare and review complex federal and state tax returns for individuals, trusts, estates, and business entities.
- Conduct tax research and planning to minimize client liabilities and maximize wealth preservation.
- Coordinate closely with wealth management advisors to align tax strategies with overall financial plans.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, answering technical tax questions and providing proactive guidance.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of local, state, and federal tax laws, regulations, and industry trends.
- Assist in mentoring and reviewing the work of junior tax staff members.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Active CPA license is heavily preferred.
- Strong background in public accounting or wealth management tax services.
- Proficient in tax preparation and research software.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for client-facing interactions.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work independently in a hybrid structure.
