Tax Manager - High-Net-Worth & Family Office
Join a sophisticated family office practice where a $125,000-$185,000 base salary, high-impact client advisory, and a clear path toward senior leadership await an experienced tax professional ready to shape the financial lives of ultra-affluent entrepreneurs and multigenerational families.
What you'll do
Lead complex tax engagements for ultra-high-net-worth individuals, families, partnerships, trusts, and foundations from initial planning through final delivery.
Design and execute advanced tax strategies, including entity structuring, gift and estate planning, equity compensation events, and multi-state and foreign income reporting.
Integrate core tax solutions with broader family office services, including philanthropy, risk management, and estate administration.
Oversee engagement workflows, project budgets, quarterly billing, and annual retainer cycles to ensure high-quality delivery.
Review returns and work papers prepared by staff and seniors, providing real-time technical coaching and constructive feedback.
Partner with firm leadership to pitch, scope, and onboard new ultra-HNW client relationships.
Drive adoption of modern tax software and planning tools across the team.
What you need
5+ years of tax compliance and consulting experience focused on ultra-affluent individuals, families, partnerships, and trusts.
Active CPA license or Enrolled Agent (EA) designation.
Hands-on experience with multi-state filing, foreign income reporting, gift/estate tax, and complex capital transactions (stock options, restricted stock, and 10b5-1 plans).
Proficiency with CCH Axcess Tax and advanced Excel, along with familiarity with BNA Income Tax Planner or Checkpoint RIA.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
Nice to have
Master's degree in Taxation (MST) or LL.M. in Taxation.
Experience with non-profit entity compliance and cross-border reporting requirements (FBAR, PFIC).
Prior supervisory experience in a family office, private client, or wealth management tax practice.

Base salary: $125,000-$185,000 depending on experience, plus individual and team performance bonuses.
