About The Role

Ready to step into a high-impact Tax Manager role in Marlton, NJ with a firm that genuinely respects work-life balance?

Operating for over 40 years, we are an established accounting and business consulting firm serving closely held businesses, non-profits, and high-net-worth individuals. We combine the technical depth of a regional practice with a supportive, team-first culture.

In this role, you will lead client engagements, oversee complex compliance (ASC 740, Section 704(b), partnership transactions), and mentor rising staff while serving as a trusted advisor to clients and leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Tax Review & Compliance: Prepare and perform detailed technical reviews of complex individual, fiduciary, corporate, partnership, and multi-state tax returns, as well as Form 990 non-profit filings.

  • Advanced Technical Tax: Manage complex technical tax matters, including ASC 740 provisions, business combinations, ASC 718 stock compensation, Section 704(b) income allocations, partnership basis adjustments, and U.S. foreign withholding taxes.

  • Financial Reporting & Audits: Prepare complete financial statements with footnotes and management letters, support Revenue Adjustment Reports (RAR), and assist with various IRS audit inquiries.

  • Strategic Client Advisory: Advise clients through major transactions-including sales of partnership/LLC interests, distribution strategies, and operational improvements.

  • Team Leadership & Mentorship: Schedule, delegate, and manage engagement workflows; mentor and train staff through formal coaching; and resolve operational issues autonomously.

  • Firm & Community Engagement: Attend monthly networking events, build strong client relationships, and contribute innovative solutions to meet client needs.

Qualifications

  • Credentials: Active CPA license required (or actively pursuing CPA designation).

  • Experience: 5 to 8+ years of progressive public accounting tax experience (small to mid-sized firm experience preferred).

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting.

  • Technical Software Stack: Proficient in Microsoft Office products, QuickBooks, and Thomson Reuters tax/accounting software.

  • Core Skills: Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills; strong detail orientation; and a self-starter mindset.

  • Mobility: Reliable transportation with the ability to travel to local client sites as needed.

Why Join Us?

  • 100% Paid Individual Healthcare: Full firm-paid health coverage for employees.

  • Comprehensive Protection: 100% firm-paid life insurance and long-term disability (LTD) coverage.

  • Financial Security: 401(k) retirement plan and Section 125 flexible spending support.

  • Generous Time Off: Robust paid time off (PTO) policy plus fully paid firm holidays.

  • Balanced Culture: A firm atmosphere that actively respects personal and family time alongside professional and networking opportunities.

  • Continuous Development: 100% firm-sponsored continuing education (CPE), strong mentorship, and clear pathways to partner leadership.
