Position Overview
The Survey Project Manager will oversee and coordinate all aspects of survey projects, ensuring that they are completed accurately, on time, and within budget. This role involves managing survey teams, liaising with clients, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and lead multiple survey projects from inception to completion
- Coordinate with clients to understand project requirements and deliverables
- Supervise and mentor survey teams to ensure high-quality work
- Prepare and review survey plans, reports, and legal descriptions
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
- Conduct field surveys and assist in data collection as needed
- Develop project budgets and timelines, and monitor progress against these metrics
- Evaluate and implement new survey technologies and methodologies to improve efficiency
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Surveying, Geomatics, or related field preferred
- Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) licensure or LSIT preferred
- Experience with ALTA, topographic, and boundary surveys
- Strong knowledge of survey equipment and software
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
