Job description
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) to join our team as a Survey Project Manager and oversee surveying projects from conception to completion. The ideal candidate will manage a team of surveyors and drafters, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of project outcomes while maintaining compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and lead surveying projects, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
- Conduct ALTA surveys, boundary surveys, topographic surveys, and construction staking surveys.
- Prepare and review parcel maps, final maps, and subdivision maps for accuracy and compliance.
- Utilize GPS and robotic total station technology for precise data collection and analysis.
- Draft and produce survey documents using AutoCAD and Civil 3D software.
- Collaborate with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.
- Train and mentor junior survey staff in surveying techniques and software usage.
Qualifications
- Valid Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D software.
- Strong knowledge of ALTA, boundary surveys, and topographic surveys.
- Experience with GPS and robotic total station equipment.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
