Supplier Quality Engineer

Who you are: 

 

Bachelors degree in engineering or similar discipline or sufficient experience in place of degree

2+ years of quality engineering experience

Willing to travel (greater Cleveland area mostly but occasionally outside of OH)

Experience with audits, documentation, first article inspections

Experience with supplier quality 

Experience in Aerospace preferred but not required 

 

What you will be doing:

 

Conduct regular supplier audits to ensure compliance with quality standards

Audits on site with Suppliers

Audits remote surveys

Compile and document results

Risk Assessment and processing of related documentation

Develop and implement supplier quality and delivery control procedures and audits

Monitor and report on supplier performance metrics

Collaborate with suppliers to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions

Review and approve supplier quality documentation

Manage non-conformance reports and coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely resolution 

Facilitate supplier development initiatives to promote continuous improvement

Provide training to suppliers with onsite activities as well as remote learning

Participate in supplier selection and qualification processes

Manage Approved Vendor List (on-boarding and release)

Assist with processing new vendor requests 

Update certification and documentation required for records

Support new product development by ensuring supplier quality requirements are met

Support inspection as needed

Manage and support internal corrective actions for continuous improvement

Manage and support oversite of the calibration system

Conduct, schedule and assist in audits (internal & customer)

BMS document control (updating and distributing as required)

Manage the Repair Station documentation and training database
