Construction Superintendent

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to lead and coordinate on-site activities for commercial, healthcare, and quick-service restaurant (QSR) projects. The Superintendent will ensure safe, on-schedule, on-budget delivery while maintaining high quality and client satisfaction. This role requires strong leadership, construction sequencing expertise, and experience managing subcontractors and field teams across multiple project types.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise day-to-day field operations for commercial, healthcare, and QSR construction projects, ensuring work is completed on schedule and to specification.
  • Coordinate and manage subcontractors, vendors, and on-site labor; enforce contract requirements and quality standards.
  • Implement and maintain site safety programs and OSHA compliance; conduct daily safety briefings and incident reporting.
  • Review drawings, specifications, and submittals to verify constructability and plan installation sequences with project management and trade partners.
  • Prepare and maintain daily logs, progress reports, and schedule updates; communicate status and issues to Project Manager and stakeholders.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality control, adherence to plans, and timely resolution of punch list items.
  • Manage material deliveries, equipment staging, and site logistics to optimize workflow and minimize disruptions.
  • Collaborate with owners, architects, engineers, and inspectors during construction and closeout to achieve occupancy and project acceptance requirements.
  • Mentor and direct foremen and field personnel, promoting teamwork, productivity, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Superintendent on commercial projects, with demonstrated experience in healthcare and QSR (quick-service restaurant) construction.
  • Strong knowledge of construction means and methods, scheduling, quality control, and subcontractor management.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
  • Excellent safety mindset with experience enforcing OSHA requirements; OSHA 30 certification is a plus.
  • Experience with tilt-up, shell construction, and industrial project types is desirable.
  • Proficiency with construction management software such as Procore is a plus.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation; ability to work on-site and travel between jobsites as needed.
