Position: Stone Sales Specialist
Base Salary: $55,000-$70,000 + Uncapped Commission
Position Overview
We are seeking a results-driven Stone Sales Specialist to lead business development and client relationships for our luxury natural and engineered surfaces. This role focuses on selling premium stone products, marble, limestone, quartzite, granite, and large-format porcelain slabs to architects, interior designers, and high-end residential and commercial clients. The ideal candidate combines deep product knowledge of luxury surfaces with proven A&D (architects & designers) sales experience, excellent presentation skills, and a consultative approach to specification and project support.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sales strategies to grow revenue for luxury stone and porcelain slab product lines within assigned territories and accounts.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with architects, interior designers, developers, contractors, and high-end residential clients to drive project specifications and repeat business.
- Provide product consultation and technical expertise on marble, limestone, quartzite, granite, porcelain slabs, and other luxury surfaces advising on suitability, finishes, edge details, and installation considerations.
- Prepare and deliver persuasive presentations, samples, and mock-ups for client meetings, design studios, and trade events; support showroom visits and on-site consultations.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, fabricators, and installers to ensure accurate specifications, material availability, and on-time delivery for projects.
- Track sales activity and pipeline in CRM; prepare quotes, proposals, and follow-up communications to close opportunities and meet revenue targets.
- Monitor market trends, competitor offerings, and emerging materials to inform product positioning and recommend new inventory or marketing approaches.
- Represent the company at industry trade shows, design events, and client meetings; support marketing and sample library management to elevate brand visibility.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of B2B sales experience in architectural & design (A&D) channels or luxury building materials, with demonstrated success selling stone or surface products.
- Strong product knowledge across marble, limestone, quartzite, granite, engineered stone, and large-format porcelain slabs; familiarity with fabrication and installation workflows preferred.
- Proven track record of developing specifications with architects, interior designers, and high-end builders; portfolio of closed projects a plus.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills; ability to tailor technical information for design and construction audiences.
- Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage multiple projects and client relationships concurrently; experience using CRM systems to manage pipeline and reporting.
- Willingness to travel for client meetings, site visits, and trade events; valid drivers license required.
- Degree in architecture, interior design, construction management, business, or related field preferred but not required; certifications or industry training in stone fabrication, materials, or sales are a plus.
