Senior Construction Project Manager
Location: Providence, RI
Compensation: $120,000 - $170,000+ Base Salary (DOE)
About the Opportunity
A well-established and growing Design-Build General Contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead commercial construction projects throughout Rhode Island and the surrounding region. This position offers the opportunity to oversee projects from preconstruction through closeout while working closely with ownership, clients, design teams, and field operations.
The ideal candidate is a proven construction leader with experience managing budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and client relationships on complex commercial projects.
Responsibilities
- Lead projects from preconstruction through final completion.
- Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and overall execution plans.
- Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and field teams.
- Oversee procurement, subcontract administration, and project documentation.
- Manage project risks, resolve issues proactively, and maintain schedule commitments.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
- Lead client meetings and maintain strong customer relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
- Mentor Project Managers, Project Engineers, and other project staff as needed.
Qualifications
- 6+ years of construction project management experience
- Experience managing commercial, institutional, industrial, or mixed-use construction projects.
- Strong understanding of project scheduling, budgeting, subcontract management, and contract administration.
- Proven ability to lead teams and successfully deliver projects on time and within budget.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with construction management software such as Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, or similar platforms.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
Preferred Experience
- Design-Build project experience.
- Experience managing projects valued from several million dollars to $50M+.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a high level of client service.
